The European Finance Association Annual Meeting attracts about 650 renowned economists from top business schools and universities from around the world. Out of the 1,700 research papers submitted for presentation, only 200 are selected by a committee of academics from top universities around the world. This stringent selection process ensures the high quality of the finance research presented at the conference.
The conference hosts 70 sessions over two-and-a-half days, includes a doctoral tutorial and also serves as the venue for the formal EFA Annual Meeting. The conference comprises several social events that are excellent networking platforms.
The EFA Annual Meeting is held by different university each year. USI Università della Svizzera italiana and the Swiss Finance Institute are proud to host the 41st Annual Meeting edition, taking place from August 27 to 30, 2014 at the Palazzo dei Congressi (Conference Center) in Lugano. The city hosts the main USI campus and is one of Switzerland’s major financial centers.
EFA 2014 also features an Industry Forum for practitioners, providing an opportunity for academics and industry experts to interact and get an overview of the finance industry from diverse perspectives.
